Beekeepers get very excited about capturing swarms. Honeybee swarms typically occur between April and June in our area. They are great fun to watch. Get out your video camera.
Swarms, such as the one pictured here, are thousands and thousands of bees that are looking for a new home. They will cluster together on a tree branch or just about anything as they send out scout bees to locate a suitable permanent home.
If you see a swarm or have one on your property, please contact us. Include your contact information, a picture of the swarm and a general location where the swarm is located. A happy beekeeper will get in touch with you shortly.

Remember, we are on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. :)
